Nyx
Founder · Peak-time techno
Founded Nightcrest in a Mission basement in 2017. Nyx plays the closing hours: rolling, relentless grooves with a cinematic streak — the sound the collective is named after.
Nightcrest DJ Collective is a San Francisco crew of selectors, producers and sound designers obsessed with one thing: the moment a room moves as one.
Nightcrest began in 2017 as a basement listening bar with two turntables and a borrowed rig. Nine years on, the collective runs headline club nights, warehouse takeovers and the Signal/Noise podcast — but the method never changed: long blends, patient builds, and basslines you feel in your ribs.
Every Nightcrest set is constructed like a film score — an opening scene, rising tension, a blackout drop, and a comedown that sends you home different. Hypnotic techno meets cinematic ambience, and the dance floor is the screen.

Mira opens the night and scores the comedown: dubby textures, half-time rhythms and field recordings gathered on tour. She also produces the Signal/Noise podcast.
